1912年4月15日凌晨，大西洋上一艘号称"永不沉没"的豪华游轮--泰坦尼克号，在她从英国南安普顿到美国纽约的处女航途中撞上冰山沉没，1500多条生命随之沉入海底，仅705人生还。电影版《泰坦尼克号》在电影史上是一部现象级佳作，其实英文原版音乐剧《泰坦尼克号》更早于电影前问世。虽然没有杰克和露丝的传奇爱情，却聚焦了船上每一个大小人物，捕捉最真实的历史剪影，展现空前海难面前的人物百态与人性的光辉。

问世22年以来，音乐剧《泰坦尼克号》获奖无数，曾在第51届托尼奖颁奖典礼上囊括最 佳音乐剧、最 佳剧本、最 佳词曲创作、最 佳编曲及最 佳舞美设计五项大奖。此外还有剧评人奖杰出编曲奖，以及格莱美奖最 佳音乐剧专辑提名。

 

该剧的词曲创作莫利·耶斯顿(Maury Yeston)是一位享誉世界音乐舞台的音乐人，曾多次获得戏剧类音乐的最 高奖项，两度斩获托尼奖，两次提名格莱美奖。剧本创作则出自获得过第37届奥斯卡最 佳原创剧本奖、三次托尼奖、艾美奖杰出戏剧奖的著 名剧作家彼得·斯通 (Peter Stone)之手；本次巡演的导演汤姆·萨瑟兰(Thom Southerland)是查令十字剧院的艺术总监，除《泰坦尼克号》外，还导演过几十部优 秀音乐剧作品。此外，灯光设计、音效设计、布景和服装设计等，全 部由曾获无数好评的伦敦西区原班人马倾力打造，带你实现"零时差"观剧体验。

Titanic is a musical based on the famous sailing and sinking of "The Ship of Dreams", with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone that opened on Broadway in 1997, the pair have collectively won an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, an Olivier Award and three Tony Awards. Titanic The Musical swept the 1997 musical Tony Awards winning all five it was nominated for including the award for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.

 

Titanic is set on the ocean liner RMS Titanic which sank on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. In the final hours of 14th April 1912 the RMS Titanic, collided with an iceberg and 'the unsinkable ship' slowly sank. It was one of the most tragic disasters of the 20th Century. More than 1500 men, women and children lost their lives, only 705 people survived.

 

Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic The Musical is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own. All innocently unaware of the fate awaiting them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the Second Class imagine they too can join the lifestyles of the rich and famous, whilst the millionaire Barons of the First Class anticipate legacies lasting forever.

Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's musical tells the tragic story with a compassionate book, intelligent lyrics, and soaring melodies, full of memorable characters based on the real people on the ship. This brilliant new production direct from London won sweeping critical acclaim across the board.
