椭圆形的椅子

 

《椭圆形的椅子》改编自荒诞派大师尤金·尤涅斯库和电影导演戈达尔的作品。

 

孤岛上，破屋里，一对夫妻守着枯寂岁月。

他们居然坚信自己握有救世真理，耗尽心力向虚空疯狂地发出请柬——皇帝、总统、旧情人… 皆是座上嘉宾。

夜色降临，门铃“响起”。夫妻陷入狂喜，在空荡房间里疯狂搬出椅子，热情接待“贵客”。

椅子像细菌一样堆叠生长，挤满空间，将他们困住。喧嚣鼎沸时，夫妻请出重金聘来的“演说家”代他宣告真理。

聚光灯下，演说家竟是个哑巴，徒劳地嘶吼。

他们绝望地推开窗，夫妻纵身跃入黑暗。唯留哑巴。

而在时空另一头，一对青年男女，正于一把椅子上悄然相遇、低语、相爱。

La Chaise, adapted from works by absurdist master Eugène Ionesco and filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard.

On a desolate island, in a dilapidated house, a couple endures barren days. They fanatically believe themselves guardians of world-saving truth, exhausting themselves to send invitations into the void—to emperors, presidents, former lovers... all honored guests.

Night falls. The doorbell "rings." Ecstatic, the couple madly arranges chairs in the empty room, welcoming their "distinguished visitors." Chairs multiply like bacteria, cluttering the space, trapping them. Amidst the illusory clamor, they unveil an orator hired at great cost to proclaim their truth.

Under the spotlight, the orator proves to be dumb—roaring soundlessly. In despair, they fling open the window and leap into the dark. Only the mute remains.

Meanwhile, at the other end of spacetime, a young man and woman meet on a single chair, whispering secrets, falling in love.

曾多次参加乌镇戏剧节、阿那亚戏剧节、法国阿维尼翁戏剧节、日本静冈戏剧节、德国汉堡莱辛戏剧节等。

 

Han Xu: Actor and Director. With years of experience in avant-garde theater performances. Representative works include: Rhinoceros in Love, The Bedbug, Waiting for Godot, Faust, Einstein’s Dreams, Fish Have No Feelings, Butterfly Metamorphosis, I Love XXX, The Treasure Ship, and more. Has participated multiple times in the Wuzhen Theatre Festival, Aranya Theatre Festival, Shizuoka Performing Arts Festival (Japan), Lessing Theatre Festival in Hamburg (Germany), and others.

Wang Ying: Actor, Dancer, Choreographer, and Director. With years of experience in avant-garde theater performances. Representative works include: Rhinoceros in Love, The Bedbug, The Maids, Faust, Einstein’s Dreams, Fish Have No Feelings, I Love XXX, Butterfly Metamorphosis, Shakespeare and the Wolf, The Treasure Ship, and more. Has participated multiple times in the Wuzhen Theatre Festival, Aranya Theatre Festival, Avignon Festival (France), Shizuoka Performing Arts Festival (Japan), Lessing Theatre Festival in Hamburg (Germany), and others.
