This is a legend of love story known by all of China. It is the second original production after The White-haired Girl by Shanghai Ballet.

It is spring season with flowers blossom, birds singing and mountain water running. LIANG & ZHU are studying eagerly in class. Even dressed herself as a male, ZHU plays cheerfully with her classmates after class. MA Wencai is a bully and he disregards the teacher and cheats his classmates. ZHU Yingtai tries to stop him but gets threatened. LIANG helps ZHU, but is beaten by MA. At last, MA is driven out of the school...

A Swan Lake

Movie

Swan Lake premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in 1877, to the music of Tchaikovsky. What many people do not know is that the original version was a major fiasco and was quickly forgotten. Not until Petipa/Ivanov's new production eight years later did the ballet achieve recognition. This interested Alexander Ekman – the forgotten Swan Lake, a work about which we know nothing. Now he has chosen to recreate and freely poeticise over this first Swan Lake, the fiasco.
