剧情简介

父亲身患重病，儿子回家乡照顾父亲。
父亲借机劝儿子结婚生子，儿子却不愿父亲干涉自己的私生活。父亲猜遍了儿子不肯结婚的原因，最后认定儿子不肯结婚是一种"病"。父子因此吵翻，儿子向父亲说出实情：你身患绝症，请选择自己想做的事吧。

父亲自知时日无多，要做的就是给儿子治"病"，他咨询了医生，设下了陷阱，诱回儿子。在治"病"的过程中，父子尝试沟通，并发现了亲子关系中那些复杂隐秘的纹理。

 

最终，父亲去世，父子虽未彼此改变，却达成了某种和解。

 

Synopsis

On the occasion of his father becoming gravely ill, Dr. Fang, a trusted surgeon of a major hospital has to come home to take care of him. His father is very concerned about Fang's not getting married and not having any children, and has come to understand he is in fact homosexual. Fang is very fed up with his father intervening his own business. During their argument, Fang hurtfully reveals the truth to his father: your days is numbered, start to prepare.

 

Knowing his limited time, the father is determined to cure his son's condition. He seeks out suspicious doctors and sets up a trap to lure his son in for treatment. During the father's big operation, the two of them is forced to communicate like no before, and discover the hidden and complex texture of their bond.

 

In the end, the father passes away. They have not been able to change each other, yet a new and deep understanding is formed.

Artist Introduction

Lei Gu is a Chinese contemporary theater director and playwright.

His works enjoy a sleek and subtle style, with a touch of dark comedy. In his space of abstraction, a breath of traditional Chinese aesthetics takes place. One can find both delights of the common folks and contemplations from the intellectuals within his works. Lei Gu strikes to obtain a balance between entertainment and art, and often with success. Major works: Farewell to the Childhood, Ten Nights, No Time Gu, As Dreams Fade Away, Evolution.
